Essere Alonsista: Alonso is Back in Yellow (This is not a Charla)

NEWS & STORIES, PICS

This is not a Charla: Alonso is back (in F1) with a bang: in fact, he never left.

One of the most controversial – according to some journos – figures of the last 20 years in the sport will once again thrill us with his aggressive driving and Machiavellian manoeuvres off track in 2021 and beyond. Don’t we all love that?

Fernando’s first stint at Enstone yielded two world titles, yet the second stint was not so successful due to circumstances more than anything. But who can forget FA’s Fuji 2008 drive? What an absolutely brilliant performance, well over the edge of glory.

I mean I’m a fan. The guy can serve as an inspiration to modern baby drivers and hopefully we’ll have someone like Guanyu Zhou Jr raving about Alonso as her inspiration to become a racer. I’m assuming GZ’s future child and an F1 star is a lady racer, a W-Serie.

More to the point and relevant, pertinent, apposite, germane, applicable, apropos, appropriate, apt, fitting, suitable, material, connected, related, linked to this article is the following luvely video reminding us of Alonso’s matador-ish driving technique. You could argue he went faster durch his technique, no? Michelin-Bridgestone Punic tyre wars – that was the real pinnacle, man. You could get your head squashed by a flying wheel if you were sitting in one of those grandstands really close to the tarmac. So romantic and wild and free.

I read RF1’s press release and it said (and I quote) “ooh la la”, while Fernando smiled and said “merci”. What that leaves Vettel with is sad: Haas F1?

Our own Diego Merino had the distinct pleasure of visiting the original Flying Spaniard’s personal museum a couple of years ago and we felt it would be appropriate to remind you social media junkies of how to get things done in the real world.
