We have followed the progress of Max Smith-Hilliard and his racing mentor/driver coach, Nick Padmore, closely over the last few years, with both Nick and now Max claiming the FIA Masters Historic Formula 1 Championship titles along the way.

A lot has happened since 2014, but the sound of the legendary Ford Cosworth DFV V8 always lures us back to Estoril or Jarama (last year); it’s also a great opportunity take a peek at the amazing machinery (and its megawatt charisma!) raced by Forza Historic: Fittipaldi, Williams, Shadow, Surtees and Lotus.

The season finale at Estoril was a huge success with fans keen to sample the atmosphere and easy access to cars/garages. It’s something modern F1 can’t deliver.

We’d like to say thank you to the team for providing us with a VIP stool in the garage. Very comfy!
