Sad news today with the passing away of Paolino Scaramelli – legendary nº1 Ferrari F1 mechanic, who prepared cars for Lauda and Villeneuve. Paolo was part of the myth, as he continued to work in Maranello until the late 90s, charged with preparing Schumacher test team cars. Paolo’s skills were not only mechanical, he was a gifted artist as well.

Few men have shown this loyalty and passion for his colors like Paolo; after retirement from Scuderia, he continued to prepare ex-Gilles Villeneuve Ferrari 312T4 matricola 041, which ran during the 30th anniversary remembrance of the late Canadian hero, and one year later during the Trofeo Bandini in Brisighella, Italy.
