The WRC Wales Rally GB 2017 is the UK’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship. It is held every year through the fast, challenging forests tracks of South & North Wales.

This year would see a British Winner for the first time in over 20 yrs & the World Championship settled. Totally committed driving over 22 special stages covering more than 200 competitive miles through some legendary Welsh forests. The weather always plays a massive part & heavy rain in the run up to the rally made the stages very muddy. These forest tracks can be slippery at the best of times! This year saw the return true ‘night stages’ & a little fog made it a real test for the world’s best rally drivers.

The fast & flowing stage of Myherin offering great photo opportunities with gravel flying from the wheels. On to the spectator’s favourite, Sweet Lamb Complex with it’s exciting atmosphere of high jumps & the water splash down in the ‘Bowl’. Dramatic action is guaranteed & didn’t fail to deliver.

The speed the cars can get up to in fast stages like Gartheiniog & Aberhirnant is just incredible! It hard to believe that they can find that amount of grip in the slippy mud & lose gravel. When a WRC Rally Car comes past you at 100mph, popping flames, throwing stones & mud in its wake… Blinding spot lights piercing through the darkness as the cars blast out of the tree line in bitch black is simply awe-inspiring!
