Sempre quis experimentar um carro 100% elé(c)trico, e a oportunidade surgiu esta segunda-feira em Leiria, onde o Electric Tour da Peugeot fez uma paragem. Adorei o carro, mas não o preço (perto de 36 mil euros). Mesmo assim, vale a pena investir nesta tecnologia. Espero também poder assistir a uma corrida da EV Cup em Portugal; deve ser algo diferente e (claro!) sem qualquer barulho… Em baixo ficam as imagens do fantástico Peugeot iOn.

I always wanted to check out one of the 100% electric vehicles currently available on the market, and the opportunity presented itself on Monday in the city of Leiria (just google it). The Electric Tour by Peugeot Portugal brought two shiny and brand new iOn cars for the masses to get a taste of fully electric power. I absolutely loved the car (especially its fantastic acceleration and automatic transmission), but a price tag of €36,000 leaves a lot to be desired. Anyway, it’s worth investing in the technology to make it more affordable in the near future. I’m also hoping to catch the EV Cup race in Portugal (should it go ahead); I’m sure it’ll be something totally different and exciting, at least I suspect there’ll be no noise… You can see images of the funky Peugeot iOn below.
