A couple of years ago I took a few photos of the 1978 McLaren F1 car demonstration run in Estoril; for some reason I never used those photos, so now’s the time.

The car looked futuristic and it sounds slightly weird, because modern F1 cars are supposed to look futuristic too! It was announced (via loudspeakers) this particular chassis was driven by James Hunt – Nº7 would seem to suggest it’s from the 1978 F1 season. The beast made great noise on the main straight which everybody loved.
