Unusual first day of the second official F1 test found Diego Merino trackside and very much enjoying himself (here’s a plug for Clarksport).

I think the most significant discovery in the paddock was the Lauda kid (equipped with a smartphone and fancy camera) – give him an Oscar. I’m positive most millennials think Lauda is an app of some sort. A cool app to have?

We had some spins, some technical issues, aka gremlins. Perfect. I love a good challenging day, it can’t be all plain sailing!
